Bayonetta: Bloody Fate DVD review

Bayonetta: Bloody Fate DVD review
Bayonetta: Bloody Fate manages to retain the over-the-top nature of the videogame with a lot of action, crazy lines and fun references (yes, we do see her start up a motorcycle in that way). From Gonzo and director Fuminori Kizaki of Afro Samurai, Bloody Fate is a somewhat loose adaptation of Platinum Games’ videogame, which was released back in 2009, as the Umbran witch Bayonetta awakens after 500 years to retrieve her lost memories. Opening with...

Bayonetta 2 – An online co-op mode, First Print edition and release date for Europe
There’s over the top and then there’s Bayonetta, with the latest Nintendo Direct being a special presentation that focused solely on the upcoming sequel Bayonetta 2. It featured PlatinumGames director Yusuke Hashimoto and producer Akiko Kuroda as they talked about the game’s characters, story, combo moves, weapons, as well as revealing the game’s release date. One of the new features focused upon was Tag Climax, an online co-op mode...

Microsoft’s E3 2014 Global Media Briefing: Halo 5, Sunset Overdrive, Project Spark and more!
Microsoft’s Global Media Briefing opened the 2014 Electronics Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, taking place in the Galen Centre, commonly the home of USC Trojans basketball team. But on this occasion there were no athletes, only gamers! Bayonetta 2 Trailer Asks, “Did You Miss Me?”
The latest Nintendo Direct revealed a new trailer for Platinum Games’ Bayonetta 2 for the Wii U. Outlandish over-the-top action is expected, but it also offers a little in the way of story. It appears that Bayonetta is travelling to the Mountain of Thimble Venter to rescue Jeanne. Those who have seen the E3 trailer (or played the demo) will note that Jeanne’s soul ends up dragged down to Inferno. In the latest trailer we hear Enzo explain that...

Bayonetta 2 Hands On Preview

Bayonetta 2 Hands On Preview
The demo of Platinum Games’ Bayonetta 2 available to play at MCM London Comic Con appears to be the same one that first appeared at E3 and has since been doing the rounds at many major events. Nevertheless her arrival at MCM means that attendees here can finally get their hands on… the Umbra witch. It’s been a while since I’ve had to contend with Bayonetta and the change of a PS3 controller to a Wii U one does take a bit of getting used to,...

Bayonetta: Bloody Fate Anime Adaptation to Arrive this November
Platinum Games’ Bayonetta video game is to receive an anime film adaptation to be produced by the animation studio Gonzo. Titled Bayonetta: Bloody Fate, it will open in Japan on 23 November and will see a limited release in just ten movie theatres, running for two weeks only. That this announcement comes around two months before its release would suggest that the film is most likely already close to completion.  The film is directed by Fuminori...

Bayonetta 2 announced; Wii U exclusive

Bayonetta 2 announced; Wii U exclusive
Bayonetta developer Platinum Games had previously stated that they’d love to make a sequel but it seemed that nobody wanted to fund it. In an unexpected turn of events, Nintendo has decided to take a risk and will be publishing Bayonetta 2 as a Wii U exclusive title.  Whilst this may upset fans of the series who would have loved to see a sequel on the PS3 or Xbox 360, at least they can take comfort knowing that a sequel is coming because...
