X-Men: Apocalypse Trailer Remade Using ’90s Cartoon Footage

X-Men: Apocalypse Trailer Remade Using ’90s Cartoon Footage
Recreating current trailers with nostalgic footage from old TV shows is a popular online pursuit at the moment. You could argue that giving X-Men: Apocalypse this treatment is easier than most, as the ’90s cartoon series had a habit of adapting storylines from the comics much in the way the current film series does, so there’s a lot of relevant Apocalypse footage to cull even if the X-Men line-up is different. But hey, why be churlish? The end...

Nightcrawler v Angel Cage Fight In First X-Men: Apocalypse Clip

Nightcrawler v Angel Cage Fight In First X-Men: Apocalypse Clip
One of the greatest sequences in any X-movie remains the BAMFtastic opening to X2 when Nightcrawler infiltrated the Oval Office in the White House and proved to be one of the most spot-on translations of a superhero from page to screen ever. Sadly that incarnation of Nightcrawler was a one-film only affair. But now a new, younger Nightcrawler features in the new X-Men: Apocalypse (don’t worry about continuity… the ending of Days Of Future Past...

Storm Warning! New X-Men: Apocalypse Featurette
This one’s so brief it’s not so much a featurette as a featurette-ette. But it does feature a lot of clips of the new, younger Storm (Alexandra Shipp) doing Stormy-type stuff in X-Men: Apocalypse. Next up, a compilation of Nightcrawler’s top BAMFing moments. Honestly, we wouldn’t bet against it! X-Men: Apocalypse is released in the UK on 19 May.   Related Stories: X-Men: Apocalypse Online ’80s-Style Arcade Games For You To Play New...

X-Men: Apocalypse Online ’80s-Style Arcade Games For You To Play
This story is worth posting just so you can have a look at the brilliant mock ’80s videogames retro packaging above (click on the image for a larger version). They are perfect! What they’re advertising are three playable online games which give Marvel mutants twists to classic ’80s eight-bit games. Because, of course, X-Men: Apocalypse is set in the ’80s. See what they’ve done there? You can find all three games at SpacePortArcade.com,...

New X-Men: Apocalyspe M&Ms Ad Doesn’t Feature Quicksilver – SHOCKER
After hogging the limelight in two previous X-Men: Apocalypse-themed adverts, Quicksilver lets somebody else have a go. The new younger versions of Storm (Alexandra Shipp) and Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee) take centre stage in this new M&Ms promo which features the kind of rubbish punchline you only ever get in adverts. X-Men: Apocalypse opens in the UK on 19 May.   Related Stories: New X-Men: Apocalypse Featurette – The History...

New X-Men: Apocalypse Featurette – The History Of Apocalypse
Here’s a nifty little featurette for X-Men: Apocalypse that’s a little more interesting than the usual minute-long fodder. Concentrating of the chief villain of the piece, there are a few intriguing new clips, some great behind-the-scenes footage and a few talking heads interview snippets. X-Men: Apocalypse is set for release in the UK on 19 May. Meanwhile, director Bryan Singer has explained to IGN why Oscar Isaac’s voice for Apocalypse sounded...

New X-Men: Apocalypse Trainers (& 12 More Weird & Wonderful Sci-Fi Trainers)
Supra has brought out a new pair of X-Men: Apocalypse-inspired trainers. Not that you’d guess they were X-Men: Apocalypse-inspired trainers at first glance. Supra has gone for a subtle approach with a teeny-tiny X-Men logo on the sides and a kind of grid-work pattern that may be a nod to Cerebro. Possibly. Perhaps. While Converse have been releasing some smart DC superheroes shoes for a while now, and Vans have more recently producing some great...

X-Men: Apocalypse Quicksilver Energy Drink Ad

X-Men: Apocalypse Quicksilver Energy Drink Ad
Another “sponsorship partner” advert for X-Men: Apocalypse with Quicksilver as the star (he previously starred in a Broadband ad – see here). Marvel’s super speedster’s powers seem irresistible to potential advertisers, don’t they? Well, you can understand why. Equating your product to speed is good. Equating you product to thunder and lightning or laser death bolts… not so good. Anyway, this time he’s fetching camels to prove how...

X-Men: Apocalypse Star Tweets Pic That Makes Dazzler Part Of X-Men Cinematic Continuity
In case you didn’t realise, the new X-Men film, X-Men: Apocalypse, takes place in the ’80s. Now, if there’s one Marvel mutant who says “’80s” more than any other, its disco queen Dazzler with her dance-floor pyrotechnics, roller-skates and disco ball necklace. Ali Blaire, as she was also known, isn’t in the film in person, but a new Tweet posted today by Apocalypse’s Jean Grey, actress Sophie Turner, proves that the character does...
