Star Trek/Guardians Of The Galaxy/Avatar star Zoe Saldana has been cast in a key role in a film version of the highly-acclaimed graphic novel I Kill Giants, reports Coming Soon. I Kill Giants will star child actress Madison Wolfe (Devil’s Due, the first season of True Detective) while Zoe Saldana will play school psychologist Mrs. Mollé. Wolfe was apparently selected from over 500 hopefuls. Guardians of the Galaxy Review

Guardians of the Galaxy Review
When James Gunn was announced as director of a Marvel movie, some people were confused, some were excited. Having made R-rated flicks like Slither, and Super, as well as working on stuff for Troma, Gunn wasn’t exactly a name one would consider as a potential herald of a slice of the Marvel universe. Then again, Marvel have also employed people like Jon Favreau, Kenneth Branagh, and even Shane Black in the past. (Not forgetting, sadly not to...

Guardians of the Galaxy Second Trailer

Guardians of the Galaxy Second Trailer
Another trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy has arrived. Sadly it doesn’t quite have the flare and personality of what we’ve seen before. You get the impression this one’s for your average cinema goer and not the Marvel geeks. “From the studio that brought you…” Yeah, we know. But at least we get to see more Rocket Raccoon and that always makes everything 210% better. Guardians of the Galaxy is out in the UK...

Guardians of The Galaxy Trailer 2 is Here

Guardians of The Galaxy Trailer 2 is Here
After days of teases the second full-trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy is here and to borrow a phrase from another Chris Pratt movie “Everything is Awesome.” A lot of new stuff in here and all of it looks good so far. While nothing can beat the “a-holes” line from the first trailer we do get to hear Rocket Raccoon and Groot speak. So forget old Han-Solo and whatever Jedi he’s babysitting, this is the sci-fi you should...

First Full Trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy is Here!

First Full Trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy is Here!
Yesterday we got to share with you some new pics and a teaser for the trailer that would air during Jimmy Kimmel Live in the US. But now we finally have the real deal so take a look! Wow, what a trailer. As an introduction to Peter Quill this one’s a good ‘un, the winding up of the finger being particularly nice. And it’s awesome to see John C. Reilly and Peter Serafinowicz casting their critical eyes over the Guardians. There’s...

Teaser and Stills From Guardians of the Galaxy Unveiled!
Put on your very best space-boots and prepare to embark on a journey into the unknown. After what seems like an age of radio silence from the head honchos at Marvel Studios, the very first teaser trailer and some official pictures from Guardians of the Galaxy have been set upon the universe! As if that wasn’t enough, Marvel also announced that there will be a full trailer coming later, at 11:35pm ET to be precise on Jimmy Kimmel Live (4:35am...

‘The Animal’ Batista returning to WWE?

‘The Animal’ Batista returning to WWE?
In a somewhat surprising development, it would appear that Dave Bautista (aka Batista) has been lined up for a return to WWE in February. Ticket sites have been advertising The Animal for a live event at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas on February 16th. Batista hasn’t been seen in a WWE ring since 2010 after quitting the company, stating in subsequent interviews that he was unhappy with the direction of the company. WWE’s focus...

Karen Gillan Cast in Guardians of the Galaxy

Karen Gillan Cast in Guardians of the Galaxy
The cast for Guardians of the Galaxy just keeps on getting bigger. Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista and Zoe Saldana head up the main cast (so far) as The Star Lord, Drax the Destroyer and Gamora. Now we’ve discovered that Karen Gillan has signed on to play a female villain. Who that villain is we don’t know yet but it’s certainly a fun casting choice! The casting of Zoe Saldana alone was cause for excitement. Not only is she one of...

Star Trek Into Darkness Review

Star Trek Into Darkness Review
There is a general pattern many hold with the Star Trek movies: The even-numbered movies are superior to the odd-numbered ones. While fans acknowledged this rule of sorts, later instalments such as Star Trek: Nemesis (the tenth movie) didn’t entirely support the notion. Then came 2009’s reboot to the Star Trek motion picture franchise, which could be seen as either the eleventh or the first in the line of new Star Trek movies. And it was brilliant. A...

Star Trek Into Darkness Announcement Trailer

Star Trek Into Darkness Announcement Trailer
There has been a way of thinking in regards to Star Trek movies – Most fans would argue that the even-numbered Star Trek movies (like Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan) are superior to the odd-numbered Star Trek movies (such as Star Trek V: The Final Frontier). However, this logic appeared to not be as plausible once the J. J. Abrams-directed reboot Star Trek was released in 2009. The eleventh Star Trek movie, Star Trek was a cinematic reboot to the...
