What if Disney made Attack on Titan?

What if Disney made Attack on Titan?
Recently the phenomenon that is Attack on Titan did a crossover with Marvel Comics and featured such characters as the Guardians of The Galaxy in the process, which got us here at MCM Buzz thinking. What would happen if Disney (who of course own Marvel) took it one step further and made a spoof version of the popular anime series featuring their own beloved characters? With this in mind, myself and our talented artist Claire Courtney collaborated...

Are the Dragon Ball characters real people?

Are the Dragon Ball characters real people?
What would a Dragon Ball character look like if they walked our streets like a normal human being? Is it even possible to imagine such diverse characters coming to life? If they did, how would you respond to seeing villains such as Ginyu, Cell, Buu and King Piccolo walking into your local supermarket to pick up their fresh milk and eggs? Chinese artist Angus Yi has been making rounds all over the internet with their own very realistic renditions...

Bayonetta: Bloody Fate DVD review

Bayonetta: Bloody Fate DVD review
Bayonetta: Bloody Fate manages to retain the over-the-top nature of the videogame with a lot of action, crazy lines and fun references (yes, we do see her start up a motorcycle in that way). From Gonzo and director Fuminori Kizaki of Afro Samurai, Bloody Fate is a somewhat loose adaptation of Platinum Games’ videogame, which was released back in 2009, as the Umbran witch Bayonetta awakens after 500 years to retrieve her lost memories. Opening with...

Vic Mignogna’s response on the petition to cast a different voice actor for Free! Eternal Summer
When the voice cast for the English dub of Free! Eternal Summer was announced by FUNimation Entertainment, not everyone reacted positively to the news. In particular, some were not keen on the casting decision of Vic Mignogna to voice the character Rin Matsuoka. Someone even went so far as to start a Change.Org petition to FUNimation requesting that they “cast a different voice actor for Rin Matsuoka” because “Vic Mignogna has a history of...

Show and Tell with Todd Haberkorn at MCM Birmingham Comic Con

Show and Tell with Todd Haberkorn at MCM Birmingham Comic Con
Following his last visit to MCM Birmingham Comic Con a year ago, voice actor Todd Haberkorn returned with a slightly more conventional panel. However, it was by no means any less enjoyable. “I’ve had a great time out here,” Todd told the crowd. “I like how it’s not like last year – super cold. It’s cool to be back. It’s good to see some people from last year and new people this year.” The last year has seen Todd working on the web...

Yu-Gi-Oh! The Official First Season DVD Review
If you’re anything like us here at MCM Buzz, you probably grew up alongside a cavalcade of anime that made your childhood – Dragon Ball Z, Beyblade, Pokémon, and in particular for me at least, Yu-Gi-Oh! The card game based anime gave us so many memories that we still take with us today. So when I heard the first season of one of my favourite coming of age television shows was having its entire first season released on a box set, well, I sure...
