New DragonBall Z game revealed for Xbox 360 and PS3!

I know I know, another year, another exciting new DragonBall Z game for us to get our hands on – it’s hardly news now, right? Nonetheless it has been revealed that Namco Bandai have plans for another title in the franchise and the catchily named DragonBall Game Project Age (I am guessing this is the development title), it appears is due for release later this year.

The news about the new title comes from the Japanese blog, Tale Tale Source ,which usually publishes news from Shonen Jump magazine before the magazine hits the shelves.

Now whilst the reveal of a new DBZ game is hardly surprising nowadays, there is some exciting news in the fact that Namco Bandai are aiming to create a never-before-seen game – what “never-before-seen” means exactly is still unknown at the moment though. Although based on past evidence I wouldn’t be surprised if it was simply a new character created exclusively for reveal in the new title. With regards to this point, it is also worth mentioning that Super Saiyan 3 Trunks has been recently created for Japan-only card-based arcade game, DragonBall Heroes the same game in which Super Saiyan 3 Broly was revealed before shortly making his way onto Xbox 360s and PS3s worldwide in Dragonball Raging Blast.

DragonBall GPA is said to be a 3D Action fighting game which will most likely mirror the same style as previous popular DBZ titles including DragonBall Raging Blast 2 and Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3

Based on the newly released Shonen Jump scan (above), it is at least clear to see that the graphics and life bars have been worked on since the most recent title, DragonBall Raging Blast 2.

DragonBall Game Project Age is aiming for a fall 2011 release on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 consoles.
