Robin sets foot in Arkham City this November

Gamers will get to take the role of Batman once again this year as they clean up the streets of Arkham City in the sequel to the multi-award winning Batman: Arkham Asylum, however the Dark Knight isn’t the only hero that players will get to use in the game.

Thanks to a deal with retailer BestBuy in the US, players will be able to get their hands on the “Tim Drake Robin pack” by preordering the game.
Robin (See below for the released art of the character) has been confirmed to have his own unique set of gadgets and techniques in the upcoming game, which means you can rest assured that he really is a new character and not just a skin for Batman, however because of this, you will not be seeing Robin in the main story of the game. Instead, Robin makes his appearance in Arkham City’s challenge maps, including the two special maps that are unlocked through using the character.

It is unknown what the other preorder bonuses for the game may entail, but a popular character amongst fans at the moment appears to be NightWing (AKA Dick Grayson).

Batman: Arkham City will be released onto the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC on the 18th of October.
