Aardman return with Arthur Christmas trailer

AARDMAN are returning to cinema screens – but not as you’d expect.

Having won the hearts of many an adult and child with their stop-motion Wallace and Gromit adventures, the animation studio are releasing their second computer animated film, Arthur Christmas, having first entered the computer animation market with Flushed Away.

The 3D, CG-animated family comedy reveals the incredible, never-before seen answer to every child’s question: ‘How does Santa deliver all those presents in one night?’

The answer: Santa’s exhilarating, ultra-high-tech operation hidden beneath the North Pole.

At the heart of the film is a family in a state of comic dysfunction and an unlikely hero, Arthur, with an urgent mission that must be completed before Christmas morning dawns.

It also boasts an impressive voice cast including James McAvoy, Bill Nighy, Hugh Laurie, Jill Broadbent, Matt Lucas, Ashley Jensen and Imelda Staunton.

The new trailer, it must be said, looks lovely and is – on first impressions – full of what makes an Aardman Production so endearing.

Arthur Christmas is due for release on November 11.
