From Beckett to Batman: Castle’s Stana Katic To Voice Talia al Ghul

As the yearly entertainment juggernaut that is San Diego Comic-Con gets underway in California, the first of what is likely to be hundreds of pieces of news has emerged from the event. The news came courtesy of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment, who have announced that ABC TV’s Castle star Stana Katic (Kate Beckett) will feature in Batman: Arkham City as the voice of Talia ah Ghul!

For those who are not familiar with the character of Talia al Ghul, she is not only the daughter of nemisis Ra’s Ah Ghul but is also one of very few women that can lay claim to having  been the Dark Knight’s lover. “Talia is such a complex character and it was great to voice her in Batman: Arkham City,” comments Katic regarding her role in the game. “I was amazed at all the detail put into the project and it’s great to see how excited the fans are about the game.”

Batman: Arkham City is the follow up to the critically and fan acclaimed Batman: Arkham Asylum and it will find fans locked up inside a new maximum security world that is set to be five times larger than its predecessor.

The game will also feature Catwoman and Robin as playable characters, although the later is currently only available as a pre-order bonus at certain retailers. Fans of the Dark Knight will also be pleased to hear that players will be able to pit their wits against a host of familiar Batman villain including The Penguin, The Riddler and also The Joker.

Batman: Arkham City will swoop into UK stores on October 21st 2011, for Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3. Fans of the game can also visit here and here to sign up for updates on the game and also join the growing community for this exciting title.
