New EuroCosplay Countries Announced

With eighteen countries taking part, last year’s inaugural EuroCosplay Championships (Which took place at the London MCM Expo in October) was seen as having the largest number of countries competing when compared with other international Cosplay competitions. Now fast forward one year and with the 2011 EuroCosplay Championships almost upon us, that number looks set to grow, with a further five countries added bringing the total up to a staggering 23 countries!

The countries that will be joining the competition this year are: Latvia, with their qualifier being held at Animefest; Lithuania, with their qualifier being held at Now Japan; Bulgaria, with their qualifier being held at Aniventure; Estonia, with their qualifier being held at Animatsuri; and last but certainly not least Norway, with their qualifier being held at Coscon.

So as the time ticks down and the finalists are announced, all that is left for the European cosplay community to do is wait with baited breath for what is set to be the biggest and best cosplay competition of 2011.
