MCM Expo – Who turned out the lights?

Today at MCM Buzz we have yet another game reveal for you thanks to publisher 2K Games. Not set for release until February 2012, we are pleased to announce that The Darkness II will be playable as early as next month at the MCM Expo in London.

Following the story of New York crime don Jackie Estacado, The Darkness II puts you in control of an ancient force of Chaos known as The Darkness. Since the events of the original game, Jackie has been trying to contain his deadly supernatural powers, but after an attempt on his life goes wrong, The Darkness is once again unleashed and sets Jackie on a brutal journey of discovery.

Whilst in control of the Darkness, players will have to think about their environment carefully as the force does not like to be around light and certain enemies will capitalise on this, but fortunately you can always use the new quad-wielding system to throw enemies and objects around whilst simultaneously shooting two weapons – and who said ancient forces of destruction weren’t stylish?

The story for The Darkness II has been penned by none other than acclaimed author comic book author Paul Jenkins, and fans will be please to know that the graphic-noir style of the game pays tribute in bringing the pages of Top Cow’s comic series to life.

So if you don’t want to miss out on all of the action, make sure you stop by the 2K Games stand at the MCM Expo next month, but be sure to bring a torch with you!
