Men In Black Video Game Announced

A new Men In Black game will be released in Spring 2012 to coincide with the new Men In Black 3 film. The game will be released on selected handhelds and consoles, although the chosen few have not been officially confirmed as of yet.

Developed by Activision, it will feature an original story that promises to carry the look and feel of the films in the Men In Black series. It is unknown whether the characters of “J” and “K”, portrayed by Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones in the films will be featured in this tie-in game. One thing’s for sure though – there will be plenty of alien shooting.

According to Xbox 360 Achievements.org, Activision does promise that the game will be “action-packed, yet light-hearted with edge-of-your-seat shooting excitement.” Video game tie-ins for films are often very hard to get right and the previous Men In Black video games were critically panned. However, 2009’s “Ghostbusters: The Video Game” proved that there are gems amongst the disappointing titles.

Will this new Men In Black game prove to be a failure once again, or will it be a critical hit? Only time will tell. For now, two screenshots have been released to show the current progress as shown on Xbox 360 Achievements
