Uncharted 3 Launch Trailer, Fortune Hunters’ Club Announcement and… Harrison Ford Commercial?

If you’re not already excited by the release of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, then an action packed launch trailer that Naughty Dog have recently put up just might persuade you to pre-order the game.

This time protagonist Nathan Drake and his mentor Victor Sullivan are in the middle of the Arabian Desert searching for the legendary “Atlantis of the Sands.” However, Drake must fight to survive after he ends up being dragged into an even bigger mystery, trying to outsmart a shadowy organization led by Katherine Marlowe

Sony have also announced a Season Pass for the game in the US, which has been described as the Fortune Hunters’ Club. The DLC relates to the multiplayer aspect (with Naughty Dog having already confirmed that the single player game will receive no DLC). It will include four multiplayer maps and three skin packs, with the first map set to be available a few days after the game is released. It can be pre-ordered through the Playstation Network in the US for $24.99 (just under £16). Although it hasn’t been confirmed for Europe, it’s highly likely that the Fortune Hunters’ Club (or something similar) will make its way over here.

Finally, the game is also receiving a hefty amount of promotion in Japan with a commercial that shows Harrison Ford playing Uncharted 3. It seems only fitting to have Ford promoting the game, given that the character of Nathan Drake was inspired by the legendary adventurer Indiana Jones.

There’s also a behind the scenes video of Ford playing the game for the commercial. While he’s constantly describing it as, “very exciting,” he does appear to be genuinely enjoying it.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is released for the PS3 in the US on November 1st and in the UK on November 2nd.
