Watch Anime through your Xbox 360 via Crunchyroll App

A number of new apps were launched on Xbox LIVE recently, one of them being the Crunchyroll app, allowing users to view Anime through their console.

Over 20,000 subtitled Anime episodes are available to view without advertisements, the likes of which include Bleach, Hunter x Hunter, Naruto Shippuden, Sword Art Online and more. It’s not just Anime, but even Asian drama is on offer, such as the award winning Korean series’ Coffee Prince and Boys Over Flowers. The content can also be viewed in HD (when available).

Crunchyroll is available to Xbox LIVE Gold subscribers and launches in ALL LIVE Markets, with the exception of Japan, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Slovakia.

“This is a significant opportunity to serve our content on a platform widely popular around the world,” said Crunchyroll’s CEO and founder Kun Gao. “We are excited to provide a new way fans can watch their favourite Crunchyroll titles.”

An app was launched for the PS3, earlier in the year but is currently not ‘officially’ accessible to those outside the US and Canada.

Will you be downloading the app? If you already have, what are your thoughts on it?
