Celebrate 25th anniversary of Studio Ghibli classics at MCM London Comic Con!

Studio Ghibli, a name that causes even the most casual of anime fans to get excited, are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the original Japanese release of acclaimed anime masterpieces Grave of the Fireflies and My Neighbour Totoro by releasing these classic films back on to the silver screen with a limited double bill nationwide theatrical run.

Released in cinemas on May 24th, this double release mimics the original double showing a quarter of a century ago and is part of a summer of anime from the widely respected anime studio that will culminate with the theatrical release of their latest movie, From Up on  Poppy Hill on August 2nd.  Along the way fans will also be treated to host of fantastic Blu-Ray releases of the studio’s now classic titles, including the fantastic Howls Moving Castle.

But if that is not exciting enough for you then fans attending this weekend’s MCM London Comic Con will be able to join the anniversary celebrations and get the chance to win some fantastic Studio Ghibli goodies as part of an exclusive giveaway in the MCM Main Theatre part of the event.
