Final Fantasy X X-2 HD Remaster

Square Enix’s Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster is released in Japan today (26 December), and PlayStation Japan have released a live action commercial to show you just how hard goodbyes are.

Following a 15 second and one minute commercial, they have now released a full 90-second version which you can view below. Ten seconds in and they want you to know how we will part with someone we hold dear to us. Then, as Final Fantasy X’s To Zanarkand plays in the background, we witness almost everyone turn into a blubbering mess.

Along with the commercials, the first 15 minutes from the game have also appeared online, though most of it involves the newly remastered FMV sequences.

Final Fantasy X UltimaniaThe Ultimania book for Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster has also been released in Japan alongside the game. As highlighted at FF-Reunion, there is an interview with Final Fantasy scenario writer Kazushige Nojima, who revealed that if there is enough demand for it then they would consider developing Final Fantasy X-3. Nojima mentions that he would like to see a third instalment.

Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster is released in Japan today (26 December) for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, with both games available to purchase separately or in a twin pack. It is released in the US on 18 March 2014 and across Europe on 21 March 2014.
