Rovio reveals Angry Birds Transformers!

Angry Bird Transformers

Following on from the success of previous crossovers with the movie Rio and the Star War franchise, Rovio have announced that their latest piece of brand melding will see their feathered and swine characters combined with Hasbro’s Transformers to bring us Angry Birds Transformers.

An obvious tie in to the forthcoming fourth movie, Transformers: Age of Extinction, little has been released about the game so far other than images, one of which however should get Rovio geek points as it is a spoof of the poster used for the original 1986 Transformers animated movie.

Angry Birds Transformers 80's movie poster spoofThe image (pictured right) features spoof versions of everyone from Optimus Prime, Galavatron, Sound Wave, Bumblebee, and even the human character Daniel, complete with what is sure to be renamed his EggO Suit. The image also has a spoof version of the planet killing villain Unicron and the Autobots Matrix of leadership, which is now egg shaped. The other art released (See above) also appears to show Angry Bird versions of Transformers, Grimlock and Starscream.

With no confirmed release date, though one EGGspects that it will coincide with the release of the new movie in July, fans can only watch and wait as more information is released on this title.
