Nickelodeon Greenlights TMNT Season Four



As the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles celebrate their 30th anniversary this year, Nickelodeon has announced that it has greenlit a 20-episode fourth season of its current TMNT CG-animated series.

The news may not come as a surprise to many: since its premiere in September 2012, which boasted an amazing 12 million viewers, the series has proved to be a massive success for the network, and this year’s first quarter saw it ranked among the top 5 animated series across all US television.

In Season Three, which will air this autumn, Robot Chicken‘s Seth Green will be replacing Jason Biggs as Leonardo, joining the rest of the turtle team which includes Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings) as Raphael, Rob Paulsen (Planet Sheen) as Donatello and Greg Cipes (Teen Titans) as Michelangelo. Upcoming episodes will also feature a range of exciting guest stars, including Danny TrejoJ B SmooveFred TatascioreJon HederRobert Englund and Renae Jacobs.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Season Four is scheduled for broadcast on Nickelodeon in autumn 2015, following the release of Season Three later this year.
