Better Call Saul Teaser and (Sort Of) Air Date Revealed

Breaking Bad‘s hotly anticipated spinoff series Better Call Saul has finally been given its first teaser trailer, in addition to a rough air date of February 2015. The series, which stars Bob Odenkirk as crooked lawyer Saul Goodman, is set to be released on Netflix.

Having charmed and exasperated viewers the world over with his wisecracks and dodgy dealings in the international phenomenon that was Breaking Bad, Saul Goodman – defender of the indefensible and lawyer to some of Albuquerque’s most wanted criminals – will be given the chance to show his side of the story in this new show. With its title taken from the advertising slogan of the least law-abiding lawyer imaginable, Better Call Saul will reveal more of the backstory for this well-loved character, from his early days trading under the name of James M. McGill onwards. It will also feature appearances from Breaking Bad hitman/private investigator Mike Ehrmantraut as played by Jonathan Banks.

The new trailer is the latest part of a publicity campaign that has already included the appearance of a billboard in Albuquerque advertising the services of James M. McGill, with a phone number that would play an answerphone message recorded by Odenkirk himself when called. Though, at just nine seconds long, it gives almost nothing away about the upcoming show, the trailer offers a tiny morsel to whet the appetite of any big Breaking Bad fans who are hungry for their next fix.
