MCM London Comic Con and ESL gear up for League of Legends Invitational

MCM_invitational_lolMCM have teamed up with ESL, the world’s largest eSports brand, to host a League of Legends tournament at this October’s MCM London Comic Con, offering gamers the chance to make it into the 4 Nations grand finals.

The MCM London Comic Con takes place on 24 – 26 October 2014 and will include the MCM League of Legends Invitational, where six teams will battle it out. The Invitational will be broadcast live on twitch.tv. Three teams taking part will be direct invites, however, two teams will have the opportunity to qualify through an ESL qualification tournament. As one of the qualifier tournaments, the winning team of the MCM League of Legends Invitational will not only take home a portion of a hefty prize pool, but they will also progress to Riot Games’ 4 Nations grand finals, which takes place later this year in December.

“MCM Expo Group is excited to be partnering with ESL UK to run one of the qualifier tournaments for Riot’s League of Legends 4 Nations event,” said MCM’s Paul Miley. “We’re looking forward to welcoming eSports fans from across the country to watch the online heats and attend the offline tournament at MCM London Comic Con this October.”
