Hawk the Slayer sequel Hawk the Hunter heads to crowdfunding

A crowdfunding campaign is to be launched to make the long awaited sequel to the 1980 film Hawk the Slayer.

It’s been 35 years since Terry Marcel shot Hawk the Slayer but it’s carried an amazing fan base, still plays on television around the world and is often referenced in geek culture. With that kind of interest, there seems to be a genuine will to get the sequel made – with the title of Hawk the Hunter. The tagline for the film is: “The slayer returns. The hunt begins.”

Marcel (left) met with Ray Charleson (who played Elven bowman Crow in Hawk the Slayer) and they’re pictured here with the legendary Mindsword (which apparently raised eyebrows at the BBC Club where this photo was taken!) and a copy of MCM Buzz’s sister magazine MyM.
