Captain America: Civil War starts production and more cast reveals!

Marvel Studios have announced that principal photography for Captain America: Civil War has begun on the third instalment of the Captain America franchise. The film is being helmed by Captain America: The Winter Soldier directors, Anthony & Joe Russo, who were recently announced as the directors to conclude The Avengers trilogy with Avengers: Infinity Wars I & II.

Don’t worry, you won’t need to wait until 2018 to see your favourite Avengers on screen again. Marvel announced quite an extensive cast of superheroes set to make appearances in Captain America: Civil War. The original Avengers appearing include Chris Evans as Marvel’s first Avenger Steve Rogers/Captain America; starring across from Cap is Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye.

Other notable supporting stars include Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Don Cheadle as Jim Rhodes/War Machine and of course the alluring Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch.

We will also be seeing our first appearance of Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa/Black Panther and Paul Rudd is even scheduled to make his second appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Scott Lang/Ant Man.

Of course the one casting announcement that had everyone talking earlier this week was Martin Freeman joining the Civil War cast. Being honest, he’s gotta be the Spidey right? Right?!

Marvel Studios Captain America: Civil War is scheduled for release on 6th May 2016. But before then, you can look forward to Marvel Studios release of Ant Man on 17th July 2015.
