Orphan Black’s Kristian Bruun joins MCM London Comic Con Line-Up

With hit sci-fi series Orphan Black now into its third series in the US, we’re excited to announce that actor Kristian Bruun will be present at this May’s MCM London Comic Con. Telling the story of a group of clones (all played by the chameleon-like Tatiana Maslany) who must find each other to discover the truth about their mysterious history, Orphan Black has become a massive cult success on both sides of the Atlantic, airing on both BBC Three and BBC America.

First appearing in the third episode of Season One, Bruun plays businessman Donnie Hendrix, husband and monitor of clone Alison. After encountering lead character Sarah Manning during a difficult period in her own life, soccer mom and would-be perfect housewife Alison begins to suspect her own husband when she learns that Beth Childs (whose role Sarah assumed) was being monitored by her boyfriend, Paul. Battling depression, addiction and a tendency to jump to conclusions, Alison begins searching for clues and eventually confronts Donnie. As it transpires, Donnie has been reporting to the rather shady Dr Leekie, but neither the nature of his intentions nor how much he actually knew about the project he was involved with are entirely clear.

Prior to taking up this part, Bruun was known for his portrayal of Constable Slugger Jackson in Murdoch Mysteries, which followed guest appearances in various shows such as Nikita and Covert Affairs. Keep an eye out over the course of the MCM London weekend for photo and signing opportunities.
