Lee Townsend returning to MCM London Comic Con

lee townsendWith MCM London Comic Con just hours away, it’s worth bringing to your attention just one of the fantastic comic book artists who will be a part of the ever growing and ever busy Comic Village.

With over 20 years in the business, artist Lee Townsend has done it all, from advertising and books, to comics, animation and film.

Not only has he drawn for the big two in the comics world, as well as others, he has also worked with the big hitters in the animation industry, such as Disney and Dreamworks.

2015 has been especially busy for Lee, with drawing and inking for the Cartoon Network on their eight page comic strips, as well as inking a wonderful DeMarco story for the Judge Dredd Megazine.

But it doesn’t stop there. Later this year he will be working on a project for DC as part of their transition period having moved from New York to LA.

Thankfully, Lee has managed to find some spare time amongst his busy schedule to come along to MCM London Comic Con this May. From asking Lee what he enjoys the most about the MCM conventions, he said, “I always look forward to the MCM cons, it’s amazing to see how much they have grown over the years since I first attended. I am looking forward to meeting people and sketching those requests throughout the weekend. The atmosphere is always great, it’s just a fun show.

Lee Townsend will be situated at CB4 in the Comic Village, so go along, have a chat, and grab a commission. You’d be silly not to.
