Live action Attack on Titan trailer shows off the 3D Manoeuvring Gear

Attack on Titan poster v3With the first of two live-action Attack on Titan films set to be released in Japan on 1 August, a new trailer has been released on the official site, along with a TV spot. They both show just what it looks like seeing the three dimensional manoeuvre gear in action. A new poster has also been unveiled (click to enlarge).

Directed by Shinji Higuchi, the film is based on Hajime Isayama’s manga. For many years humanity has been protected from Titans by three towering walls, yet they now face extinction after a Colossal Titan breaches the outer wall. After witnessing his mother killed by a Titan, Eren Yeager (Haruma Miura) and his foster sister Mikasa Ackerman (Kiko Mizuhara) enlist and eventually join the Survey Corps to fight back.

As well as being screened in IMAX, moviegoers can have their experience of Attack on Titan taken to the next level, for the film will take advantage of movie theatres equipped with 4DX, MX4D and D-Box. This means that your seat will movie in sync with the onscreen action and there will be effects such as wind, rain and lightning.
