Star Wars Sequels A Midi-chlorian-Free Zone

MTV has nabbed the Star Wars scoop of the century. In an exclusive interview with Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

MTV asks director JJ Abrams the all-important question: will the new sequels make reference midi-chlorians?  You remember, that much-loathed biological explanation for the Force introduced in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.

And JJ’s unequivocal answer: “No!”

Cue celebratory Ewok song. (Preferably the one from the original Return Of The Jedi not the special edition… )

Here are five more things we’d love to hear an unequivocal, “No!” from JJ Abrams when asked about it the new Star Wars trilogy:

1) Will there be any (live) Gungans?*
2) Will the Jedi have ratty ponytails?
3) Will C-3PO ruin action scenes with a stream of terrible puns?
4) Will there be any romantic speeches that mention sand?
5) Will there be any mentions of taxes in the text crawl at the beginning?
