Patrick Stewart Reveals Wolverine 3 Snippets

While not revealing much, Patrick Stewart has hinted strongly that he’ll have a major part as Professor X in Wolverine 3 – which will mark Hugh Jackman’s final appearance in the role – and that it will indeed be based on the comic book storyline “Old Man Logan” in an interview with Collider.

The “Old Man Logan” mini-series ran from 2008-9 and was set 50 years into the future, with an aged Wolverine surviving in a world ruled by supervillains where most of his friends are dead.

In the interview Stewart teases that he will be returning for Wolverine 3, saying, “There is a project in development. I understand that Professor Xavier will be making more than an appearance, however, and that intrigues me. And the idea of an old Wolverine… I’m really looking forward to Hugh Jackman getting old. You know, damn him: he looks so great! So I’m hoping to see him covered in prosthetics, you know? And then he’ll make me look better.”

Wolverine 3 is set for a March 3, 2017, release.
