Stick Returns For Daredevil Season 2

Marvel has announced that Scott Glenn is set to return as Matt Murdock’s uncompromising mentor Stick in season two of the Neflix series Daredevil. He will re-enter the blind lawyer’s life with a new mission that Matt (Charlie Cox) wants no part of.

“After seeing Scott’s performance in the first season, we knew that we had to bring him back for more,” says executive producer/Marvel’s head of television Jeph Loeb. “He is an extraordinary actor and we leapt at the chance to expand on his adventures with Matt and Daredevil.”

“In some ways, Stick is to Marvel’s Daredevil what Scott Glenn has been to film and TV,” adds executive producer/showrunner Marco Ramirez maybe a little hyperbolically, “a magnetic and awesome force to be reckoned with. It’s an honour to welcome him back, and the Daredevil team can’t wait to unleash Scott’s unique brand of bad-assery upon the world in season two.”

In related news, Marvel has also confirmed a number of casting decisions for another of Netflix’s Marvel series Luke Cage (most of them had already been revealed unofficially): Simone Missick (Ray Donovan) plays Misty Knight, a Harlem police detective who is determined to learn the truth about Luke Cage; Theo Rossi (Sons Of Anarchy) is Shades, a ruthless criminal with ties to Cage’s mysterious past; Frank Whaley (Ray Donovan) is Rafael Scarfe, a hard-nosed NYPD detective who partners with Misty Knight in their Luke Cage investigation; and Rosario Dawson is nurse Claire Temple, reprising her role from Netflix’s Daredevil. Her blossoming friendship with Cage will have a major impact on both characters’ lives.
