BUZZ News Shorts: Aquaman, Men In Black, Legend Of Tomorrow & More

••• Jason Mamoa, Aquaman in DC’s shared cinematic universe, has hinted to The Robot’s Voice that, “Well, there might be some bit of orange and green,” in his costume. “A bit of respect to prior work. But I think he is meaner now and upset – look at what has been done to our oceans. That’s his world that has been polluted.” [via]

••• Dreamworks is developing a new time travel film – said to be in the style of ’80s Amblin movies – based on a seven-year-old script by Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow. It’s called Stealing Time and it’s about a scientist who escapes into the past to protect his time machine, forcing his son and grandchild to rebuild the device in the present in an attempt to rescue him. Tim Dowling (Pixels, This Means War) is penning a new version of the script. ••• Peter Francis James has been cast as Dr Aldus Boardman (amazingly not a character from the comics) in DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow. He will first appear in the Arrow crossover episode, then continue in the role on Legends. Boardman is a classics professor at St Roch University, who has devoted his life to researching the story of Chayara (Hawkgirl) and Prince Khufu (Hawkman) and their link to Vandal Savage. ••• Producers Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald have told The Hollywood Reporter that they are developing a new Men In Black trilogy but Will Smith will not be involved. [via /Film]
