First Clip From Star Wars: The Force Awakens

With all the trailers that have been released for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens (and there are two new ones below), it’s a surprise to realise that we haven’t actually seen an official clip before now. So here it is: the first official clip (it debuted during the TV coverage of the AMA awards in America last night). All 15 seconds of it. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Opening in the UK on 18 December, Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens is set 30 years after the events of Return Of The Jedi. Directed by JJ Abrams, the highly-anticipated movie stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Max Von Sydow. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk are producing with Tommy Harper and Jason McGatlin serving as executive producers. The screenplay is by Lawrence Kasdan & JJ Abrams and Michael Arndt.
