Bryan Singer Tweets Stormy On-Set Footage Of X-Men: Apocalypse Reshoots

Remember when “reshoots” was a code word for “movie in trouble”? It meant that studio bosses thought they has a turkey on their hands and were trying to fix it. This is still occasionally the case (the Fantastic Four film last year) but increasingly in modern Hollywood with the crucial big budget blockbusters, reshoots are simply an accepted part of the filmmaking process; less a case of saving  movie, more about perfecting it. We bet there’s even a column for reshoots in the accountants’ spreadsheets long before a film even begins principal photography.

So the fact that Bryan Singer is sharing footage of reshoots for X-Men: Apocalypse via social media just three months before the film is set to be released is nothing to worry about. Singer certainly seems to be enjoying himself as he stands in front of half a fishing boat and green screen, promising, “Rain, lightning and something else…”

X-Men: Apocalypse is set for a UK release on 19 May.
