New 10 Cloverfield Lane Poster Is Packed With Hidden Secrets

There’s a new poster for the JJ Abrams’-produced, sort-of-vaguely Cloverfield sequel 10 Cloverfield Lane. The central image – of the bunker in which most of the action takes place reimagined as a mail box – is striking enough but look a little closer (and you can if you click on it for much larger version) and you’ll see it’s absolutely packed with Easter eggs.

Designer Ape Meets Girl tells /Film about the hidden messages: “Haha. Well, there are some obvious ones, like in the grass, and anyone who is following the Alternate Reality Game will be familiar with the name that appears in the post. As for the others, there are nods to the film, subtle nods, that really just appear to be part of the mailbox and the background, but once you’ve seen the film, you’ll realise their relevance. Some of them I added myself, but others were Dan’s idea, in particular he was keen to incorporate The Totally Rad Show into the image somewhere.”

We’re most curious about the little Bad Robot just to the left of the house! Does this mean he actually has a role in the film? We doubt it but, hey, that would be a twist…

10 Cloverfield Lane, directed by Dan Trachtenberg and starring  Mary Elizabeth Winstead and John Goodman, is released in the UK on 18 March.
