It’s only fair to warn Daleks and other interstellar evildoers that London Comic Con’s latest special guest is an old enemy of theirs – none other than the Fifth Doctor himself, Peter Davison! He’ll be joining fellow Doctor Who star Sophie Aldred at this month’s show, meeting fans on all three days of the Excel event.
After becoming a household name as Tristan Farnon in the BBC’s TV adaptation of All Creatures Great and Small, Peter Davison took on Doctor Who‘s iconic lead role in 1981. Sensitive, vulnerable and dressed as an Edwardian cricketer, Davison’s boyish incarnation of the Doctor stayed at the helm of the Tardis for four years, battling famous Doctor Who adversaries such as the Daleks and Cybermen in 70 episodes.
As well as starring in numerous other television, radio, film and theatre productions, Peter Davison has reprised his most famous role on a number of occasions, including appearing in 1993 multi-Doctor charity special Dimensions in Time, writing and directing 2013’s The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot and voicing the Fifth Doctor in Big Finish’s series of audio dramas.
