File Under Odd: Trailer For The Lobster

File Under Odd: Trailer For The Lobster
Erm, well, uh… odd. Very odd. But intriguing. And it has Colin Farrell doing an impression of Joaquin Phoenix if he ever appeared in a Michel Gondry film doing an Irish accent. Plus Cannes loved it. This is The Lobster, a bizarre film of love and metamorphosis set in the near future starring Farrell as a man who will turn into a lobster in 45 days unless he finds a romantic partner. Apparently the dog (we want him!) is his brother. Rachel Weisz...

Total Recall (2012) Review “Open your mind”
Directed by Len Wiseman Starring Colin Farrell, Bryan Cranston, Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel “Open your mind” were the infamous words of mutant resistant leader Kuato from the 1990 cult classic Total Recall directed by Paul Verhoeven and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. Feeling that having memories of living life as a spy might be just what he needs, the procedure...

Fright Night review

Fright Night review
There have been plenty of horror remakes during the last decade, and while listing all the pointless cash grabs would leave me with no space to write the rest of this review, few have been commendable. I have seen the original Fright Night; a good film but I don’t hold it in such high regard. Sampling the remake, you can’t help but bring your knowledge of the original along, and afterwards you can’t help but compare the two. A bit like ruining...

Fright Night Character Posters

Fright Night Character Posters
DreamWorks are going all out with their remake of Fright Night, having released a set of UK character posters. Apart from “bad neighbour” Jerry, the main characters are all seen wielding a weapon. Best of all, David Tennant gets his own poster as the gothic magician turned vampire killer, Peter Vincent. With a shotgun over his shoulder and stocked up on shotgun shells and stakes, he looks positively badass! The film tells of high schooler Charlie...
