That Sandman Movie is Still Happening, and Joseph Gordon Levitt May Be Directing

That Sandman Movie is Still Happening, and Joseph Gordon Levitt May Be Directing
Remember that Sandman adaptation that Warner Bros were supposed to be working on way back when? Well, if you were beginning to think that the movie you Desire was just the pipe Dream of filmmakers trapped in a Delirium, then Despair no more, for it seems its Destiny is neither development hell nor ultimate Death and Destruction, but in fact, it’s well on its way to getting made! Recent comments from those on board not only suggest that...

Five ways in which NBC could make Constantine closer to the comics

Five ways in which NBC could make Constantine closer to the comics
In light of the recent news that production on NBC’s Constantine has been halted at 13 episodes, I thought it might be time to weigh in with how the show might help best addresses some of the areas in which it is perceived to be playing it safe. All of this is, of course, subjective, and it is well documented that I approach the canon of Constantine with a lot of baggage given my personal fondness for the character, but I also feel that if...

Project Jikoku Chapter Two Review

Project Jikoku Chapter Two Review
Chapter One of Project Jikoku (which we reviewed here) in some ways felt more like a scene-setting prologue than a complete entry in its story. Told primarily through flashbacks, the story focused on a character’s father and served to set the scene for the world the comic would be set in. Featuring social commentary about humanity’s fear of the unknown, the fact that the actions of a government don’t always reflect the desires of its people...

Eryi’s Action Review

Eryi’s Action Review
When I first found out I was going to be reviewing Eryi’s Action I did a little Google research. The first search result I found was a forum user posting about what an obvious Mario rip-off it was. Having spend a considerable amount of time with the game, I’ve found that couldn’t be further from the truth. Yes, both games are platformers, but Eryi’s Action is so much more than a mere left-to-right jumping adventure. Here’s...

Hollywood lost another one of its stars last night, as Oscar-nominated actor Michael Clarke Duncan was taken from the world too soon at the age of 54. He died last night in a Los Angeles hospital having previously suffered a heart attack several weeks ago that he never fully recovered from. Duncan, at 6 ft 5, 325 pounds, passed away at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center yesterday. His rep confirmed this, saying: “[He] suffered a myocardial infarction...

Darksiders 2 Interview with Haydn Dalton

Darksiders 2 Interview with Haydn Dalton
If you could be any character in an action adventure game who would it be? Assuming your goal is to kill your enemies, there are few who would be as ruthlessly effective as the physical embodiment of the act of killing, Death. With the second horseman of the apocalypse being the focus of the Darksiders series, Death’s adventure in Darksiders 2 makes several important changes compared to its predecessor. Today we are talking to Haydn Dalton,...

We got a chance to preview it thanks to THQ, and there’s a lot to look forward to for fans of the brutal gameplay. The story in Darksiders 2 takes place at the same time as the story in the original game, but instead of playing as War, you play as his equally awesome brother,...

Filming of The Sarah-Jane Adventures has ended

Filming of The Sarah-Jane Adventures has ended
Today, the BBC have announced that there are no plans to film any further episodes of Doctor Who spinoff – The Sarah-Jane Adventures following the recent tragic death of Elisabeth Sladen. Elisabeth Sladen first played a companion to the third Doctor, Jon Pertwee, in 1973 and she stayed with the show until 1976 when she bid the fourth Doctor, Tom Baker, a fond farewell. Since then Sarah Jane has reappeared in the show multiple times, including...
