Xbox One Without Kinect Announced

Xbox One Without Kinect Announced
When the Xbox One was officially revealed and many of the details were let known to the public, one of the key issues involved having your Kinect plugged in to actually use the console. While that rule was soon abolished, it was too late to stop the shipping of the Xbox One without the Kinect.  However in a post on the official Xbox website, Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, announced that the Xbox will be “Delivering More Choices for Fans”...

Microsoft Have Listened, No More DRM or Internet Check-ins on Xbox One
Microsoft didn’t have a very good time of it at E3 and they know it. That’s why they finally listened to the gamers and decided to make some changes. Today Microsoft’s President of the Interactive Entertainment Business, Don Mattrick, made an announcement on XBox.com that went like this: Since unveiling our plans for Xbox One, my team and I have heard directly from many of you, read your comments and listened to your feedback....

How Sony Twisted The Knife At E3

How Sony Twisted The Knife At E3
Since Microsoft unveiled the Xbox One gamers have been angry. For starters the conference had a heavy focus on television and sports games. The only good impression left was by the mo-cap dog. Okay so we didn’t see many games but E3 wasn’t far away so it was understandable. They also seemed to be focusing on improving what they already had rather than inventing another new gadget for no reason. However it was after Microsoft’s big show that...

Microsoft’s Xbox One, Television and Steven Spielberg

Microsoft’s Xbox One, Television and Steven Spielberg
It has a name. The Xbox One. Hmm, it’s an odd one but it makes sense (sort of). Whereas the PS4 reveal seemed to be a lot of distractions and talk about social media, some of us were left wondering why we should bother buying the thing. Micosoft have taken a different route. Rather than creating new flashy gadgetry they’ve merely refined and improved upon what was there before.  Let’s look at the Wii U for a moment. Nintendo brought in a tablet...

Xbox Live Games and Phoenix Wright Coming to Android and iOS?

Videogames are not just for Christmas

Videogames are not just for Christmas
It’s that time of year when commercial breaks are made up of ads for perfume and stand-up comedy DVD’s, people flock to shopping centres like extras out of Dawn of the Dead, and videogame publishers release their big budget titles. Since Christmas tends to start earlier and earlier you’d think it was bi-annual, as shops tend to hang their decorations up before Halloween in an effort to put people ‘in the mood’. When it comes to videogames,...
